STS provides the services for onshore and offshore geotechnical investigation. Rotary wash boring and percussion drilling techniques are used for drilling at land as well as sea/water reservoir. STS is capable of drilling boreholes of diameters varying from 100mm (4in) to 560 mm (22in) and depths of up to 100 m.
STS provides the services for a number of laboratory tests pertaining to material and geotechnical engineering. These tests include grain-size analysis, Atterberg Limits, Natural moisture content, density, specific gravity, consolidation, unconfined compression tests, chemical tests, direct shear tests etc.
Services for sampling forms an essential part of the geotechnical investigation or structural inspection process. STS provides the services for collecting various sample types including disturbed, undisturbed, bulk samples, block samples, groundwater samples, pavement/concrete core samples etc.
An advanced geotechnical field test is being exclusively offered by STS to the clients in Pakistan. It is performed on the walls of a borehole using a cylindrical probe which can expand radially to obtain soil moduli.
Services for various field tests pertaining to geotechnical engineering, geophysical exploration and non-destructive are being provided by STS. The tests include plate load tests, downhole seismic tests etc.
